Mr G V Subrahmanian
Mr G V Subrahmanian, GVS as he is fondly known, born and brought up in Bombay (Mumbai), an ex-banker is the Founder and Managing Trustee of Sadguru Sri Gnanananda Seva Trust and the Director of Swami Vivekananda Rural Community College (SVRCC). Following an inner divine call, he decided to work on developing a rural community college at Pondicherry where school dropouts could come and skill themselves. His deep concern for the future of India’s youth power, as well as a clear vision and the perfect roadmap for making their future bright and purposeful has led to the evolution of SVRCC as it is seen today. The institution today attracts members of the national and international social work community to study his success and its replication potential. For a man to have relinquished his comfort zone to pursue his dream is a phenomenal achievement. But GVS is not one to rest on his laurels. He believes that more than saying, doing and showing impacts youth deeper and continues to have the burning desire to carefully nurture youth.
Anuradha Subrahmanian
Smt Anuradha Subrahmanian, the Principal of SVRCC, is the wife of GVS and the pillar of strength in all his endeavours. An understanding and supportive family is a key factor in the successful pursuit of missions of mercy like SVRCC and Anuradha created it for GVS. She is a dedicated teacher who taught in schools and later took free tuitions for needy students. She has impressive skills in administration and public relations. She has attended the workshop for teachers of Community College conducted by ICRDCE and never hesitates to ask for and accept help from others for public causes. Anu as she is fondly called, thanks her father for grooming her in the art of giving. She brings a lot of positive energy to GVS and the students of SVRCC.
Mr Subramanian N
Subramanian N fondly referred as Tiruppugazh Mani, is actively engaged in the propagation of Tiruppugazh, a collection of Tamil hymns in praise of Lord Subrahmanya. A disciple of Guruji Sri A S Raghavan, Mani is endowed with a captivating voice. Tiruppugazh has become a code of life for him, a discipline that he practices and teaches to several hundred students with felicity His tenure of more than three decades with the, Fertilliser Association of India, Delhi has strongly infused in him a service-oriented approach.
Mr Kumar V S
Mr Kumar V S is an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, a Cost Accountant and a Company Secretary He has an outstanding academic record and over 38 years of experience in Finance, Accounts and Systems in a variety of reputed companies. “He is passionate about teaching and start-ups.” Simplicity and a problem-solving approach are Kumar’s specialties.
Mr Natarajan C V
Mr Natarajan C V a disciple of Pujya .Sri Swami DayanandaSaraswati, has over two decades of experience in teaching values of our culture to school children based on Vedic heritage. A commercial banker, Natarajan strictly adheres to the principles of dharma in the conduct of his life. His outlook is broad, and he focuses on nurturing child power through camps oriented towards high personal values. He has an outgoing personality and is always willing to help and share the burden of the community around him.
Mr N Kumar
Mr N Kumar, a Rotarian and a simpleton is actively involved in helping needy and handicapped people through multiple NGO’s. He had volunteered himself with several organizations and trusts and helps them by connecting with the appropriate resource persons. He had dedicated his life to the service of humanity and social work.
V Swaminath
Captain V Swaminath, affectionately called Balu, is a master mariner who has managed rough seas for nearly three decades and is a proven leader of men. Balu has travelled all over the world and brings to the project a wide-angle perspective. A person of strong commitment and sincere concern for others’ difficulties Balu displays great maturity in not just accepting with ease but doing something about the gap between the dreams and realities of life. He is a faculty for various Nautical Competency & Modular courses at Hindustan Institute of Maritime Training, Chennai.
Aparna Swaminath
Smt. Aparna Swaminath is a large-hearted homemaker known for her intensely caring nature and her capabilities in counseling of students. Aparna is adept in motivating people and getting them to recognize their strengths. She strongly believes that one cannot always have happiness, but can always give happiness.
Dr Krishnan J
Dr Krishnan J, a Ph.D. scholar specialized in the fields of Advaita Vedanta and Nyaya is currently the Head of Department & Professor-Department of Sanskrit at the University of Pondicherry. He has a rich experience of 27 years in education and mentoring. A member of the academic council, Pondicherry University and VC’s nominee on the Governing body of affiliated Colleges and Guest faculty appointments, he is also a senate member of the Tamil University, Thanjavur.
Mr N. HariharaSubramaniyan
Mr N. HariharaSubramaniyan is in the business of industrial automation and is even more occupied with social causes, and has been doing a lot for the community over the last 2 decades. A key participant in the development of Value Education Program for Children which was introduced in 350 schools in Chennai and over 2000 schools in India. He had worked with Sri Anna Hazare in India against Corruption in the State Chapter. He is also passionate Social Worker involving and supporting many Projects in this State and beyond the State.
Mr P S Sridharan
P.S.Sridharan, CEO of Megatech, is a Technocrat Entrepreneur offering working on controls and Digital Transformation in Industry, for more than three decades. He had played pivotal role in establishing facilities at the College and had been supporting the institution in training in latest concepts. As a Rotarian, he is involved in numerous community projects, serving the needy.
Mr D Jayakumar
Mr D Jayakumar, more popularly known as Ramesh, he is the Managing Director of M/s. ShravanEngg. Enterprises Pvt. Ltd., Chennai and has demonstrated his identification with the Trust and the College in many ways.
Mr K Surendra Kumar
Mr K Surendra Kumar, partner in Srinivasa Foundation, Chennai, is a real estate veteran working in the niche area of layout planning, construction and land banking. Surendra has identified himself with the cause of the Trust and SVRCC in many ways.
Mr S Vaitheeswaran (“Vaithee”)
S Vaitheeswaran (“Vaithee”) is the Vice Chairman and Managing Director of the Manipal Education & Medical Group (MEMG) which oversees all the business verticals of the group. Vaithee joined the Manipal Group in 2011 and during the past decade has steered the group to restructure and consolidate its dominant position in the healthcare, education, and health insurance businesses. He has championed and enabled technology-led business transformation to increase the group’s revenues and profits and build an organization for the digital world. He is a member of CII/CEO Forum and Bangalore Chamber of Industry & Commerce (BCIC). He also spends time evangelizing the cause of improving and enhancing the higher education ecosystem in India through participation in various industry panels and forums.
