The college has impacted the local communities in many different ways. First and foremost would be the students graduating and moving on to a job/career and a better life. This has a salutary effect on their family situation and economic life.
While most students go on to jobs, some of them start their own small scale enterprises which in turn offers employent to 3-7 people.
The college forms a close bond with the parents of the students. Parent teacher meetings are held often and this offers new insight and a new way of looking at things for all concerned.
Students of SVRCC help out at local old age homes and hold clean-up campaigns at in nearby localities, places of worship and other locations. This, without any discrimination on any basis whatsoever. Therefore, one would see Hindu students cleaning compounds of mosques and Muslim students doing the same at local temples. And so on, in many different ways, such as a Muslim girl winning a prize at a Bhagavad Gita chanting competition.
The benefits of such interaction can well be imagined.
