Education

Our Education

At SVRCC, we believe in holistic education, espousing the values of our guide and muse, Swami Vivekananda. We strive to blend academic rigour with the teaching of the philosophy of positive, healthy, joyful and purposeful living to our students.

Apart from the rigorous technical training provided, we endeavor to awaken the humanity within each student by involving them in our extensive community service activities, to inculcate the "spirit of giving back".

Apart from this, we also provide sports training and extra-curricular activities to keep students engaged and motivated in attending the institution. At SVRCC, we go the extra mile by engaging parents in productive dialogue with the institution to help them understand their children’s progress enabling both parents and children to maintain peaceful relations at home.

Our methodology

At SVRCC, the methodologies followed at every level of the organization can be characterized as professional and meticulous. We impart the positive philosophy of healthy, joyful and purposeful living to our students and both the practical and theoretical aspect of learning receive equal stress. The one year period of training is broken into 9 months of in-house learning and 3 months of internship training with our industrial partners.

The spirit of sportsmanship in our students is cultivated with indoor and outdoor games that require both individual talent and team-spirit and leadership qualities. Extra-curricular activities bring such latent talents as singing, dancing, play-acting and performing to the fore.

Community service plays a pivotal role in the learning process in that it demands and cultivates civic sense and desire to give-back to the society in our students. Visiting old age homes and cleansing public places come naturally to the student of SVRCC

We encourage and engage the parents in productive dialogue with the institutions which help in understanding their children much better and promote peace at home- front. This is one of uniquely humane aspect of the college.

Industrial partnerships: Local industry, commerce, and employer organizations are actively involved in initiatives at SVRCC. This allows us to:

  • Develop appropriate course curriculam and materials
  • Periodically review training modules and include relevant skill-sets
  • Access better faculties and delivery of courses
  • Provide internships and hands-on-experience to the students
  • Place students after completion of training

The one-year training is split into 9 months of conceptual training and 3-months of internship at one of our local industry partners. While this is the pedagogy followed, the curriculum for holistic education includes many softer components, like –
